Joan Jungbin Lee joined the Electric Girls team in Aug 2018 and stepped into her current Executive Director role during the fall of 2020. Joan started her STEM journey as a rambunctious kid that took random household items apart for fun and continued on to study biomedical engineering and research during high school and college. Joan has worn many hats: managing scholarships and registration for all EG programs, jumpstarting the Family Advisory Board, and learning alongside resilient and bright Electric Girls. Joan is excited to continue growing the Electric Girls community of lifelong learners and supporters.

Nomadic at heart and a creator at their core, Zoe Boekbinder (they/them) was born on a farm into a family of four children. While music wasn't very present in their upbringing, Boekbinder recalls some of their first memories as making up songs. For them, music is as natural and as necessary as breath, and the way they engage as an activist. Boekbinder was raised, in part, by their grandfather — a Holocaust survivor. Having survived the horrific, prejudiced violence of his past, he instilled in Boekbinder a deep belief in justice. Songwriting has become their resistance language.

Chelsea Van Voorhis is an artist and woodworker that creates home goods, sculpture, and fashion forward wearable art using wood veneer. Every piece she makes is completely one-of-a-kind and a direct reflection of her emotions when it is made, often including political and social commentary. After spending 10 years in the fashion industry in New York City she moved to Maine to study furniture design. Chelsea uses traditional woodworking techniques to create very non-traditional art.

Hannah Kreiger-Benson is a musician, advocate and strategist for the cultural community in New Orleans. She does Programming and Research for the Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans (MaCCNO), which includes collecting data on historically overlooked topics like amount of gig pay musicians take home in various contexts, and the legal forces that shape the distribution of music venues across the city landscape, researching the history of the cultural micro-economy of the Frenchmen St. music corridor, overseeing the MaCCNO pandemic microgrant program, as well as advising the City on policy and the ways it impacts cultural practitioners. As a musician, Hannah has been active in various scenes for over 15 years, on trumpet, piano and vocals as well as arranging and music-direction. She is a Camel Toe Lady Stepper, a Board member of Culture Aid NOLA and the Musicians' Council on Fair Wages, and a proud resident of MidCity.

Beth Rosenberg is a native New Yorker who loves people, art, technology and cats! She spent the first part of my career in the world of museum education where she worked for ten years in the Education Department at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. She then got involved with using technology as a tool to educate students at Eyebeam Center for Art & Technology in Brooklyn.  After consulting for many museums and community organizations in NYC around best learning strategies for students with autism and learning disabilities, she founded Tech Kids Unlimited for students who learn differently.
